crowd of childrenOur children and young people are an important part of our church family, and we are very fortunate to have a vibrant program of children’s worship and activities for all ages.

Most Sundays the children worship with us at the beginning of the service before they join their age-specific groups in Sunday School. Our focus in Sunday School is on building an understanding of Christianity in a fun atmosphere, and encouraging the children to engage with the Bible and with God.  We do this through a range of activities, including games, craft, stories and singing.

Young people of secondary school age have their own groups that meet on a Sunday morning and also a program of events on Sunday evenings, some of which are social while others are an opportunity to find out more about God and to develop their faith.

Once a month, usually on the third Sunday, we have All Age Worship.  This is a chance for the whole church family to worship together.  These services might be led by members of the Sunday School team, by our worship band or by one of our local preachers.  Often All Age Services are something a little bit different.  Our aim is for there to be something for everyone to be involved in.

Holiday club

During the summer holidays, CCMC runs a 3 day Holiday Club that takes a different theme each year. All children of primary school age are welcome to attend.  We have games, crafts, singing, quizzes and lots of fun as we explore the bible together, and try to find out what it means to us today.  Details can be found on the events page in the run up to the school summer holidays.

We have been blessed with our children and young people at CCMC, and we value them as a part of our church family.  We understand that being a parent is not always easy, and we aim to offer an atmosphere where parents, children and families can feel welcome, loved and supported.

Lenten flowersWe understand that children have a lot to offer in worship, both to God and also to the rest of us.  We believe that children should not find church an unnerving, foreign or unwelcoming time.  Our hope is that people of all ages feel comfortable worshipping with us.
